The company ships large, heavy appliances that require LTL freight and specialized carrier routing. Managing shipping quotes, carrier selection, and tracking between Brightpearl and ShipHawk manually was slowing order processing and causing carrier assignment errors on high-value orders.
What we built
- Brightpearl → ShipHawk order sync triggering automated carrier rating and selection
- LTL-specific shipping logic built into the connector to handle freight class, weight, and dimensional requirements
- Tracking number and carrier confirmation synced back from ShipHawk to Brightpearl on shipment
- Shipment status updates propagated automatically so customer-facing order status stays current
The outcome
- Carrier selection automated based on order weight, destination, and freight class — no manual quoting
- LTL shipments processed with the same speed as parcel — no special handling required
- Tracking information in Brightpearl within minutes of ShipHawk shipment confirmation
