The challenge
The company built a premium men's basics brand with strong traction across both their Shopify DTC storefront and Amazon marketplace — but growth across both channels created mounting operational complexity. Managing inventory across two high-velocity sales channels without a unified back office meant the team was constantly at risk of overselling, and order management required manual coordination between Shopify, Amazon, and their internal operations. They needed a fully integrated multi-channel stack with Brightpearl as the single operational hub.
What we built
- Integrated Shopify with Brightpearl to automate DTC order ingestion, real-time inventory updates, and customer data sync from their direct eCommerce channel
- Connected Amazon seller operations to Brightpearl, enabling marketplace orders to flow into the same OMS workflow alongside Shopify orders for unified fulfillment management
- Configured centralized inventory management within Brightpearl, with automated stock level updates pushed to both Shopify and Amazon to prevent overselling across channels
- Automated fulfillment routing and status updates so orders from either channel move through the same operational workflow and customers receive accurate tracking information
- Established end-to-end data integrity across Shopify, Amazon, and Brightpearl to support reporting and demand planning across the combined channel mix
The outcome
- Achieved a unified multi-channel operation with Brightpearl serving as the single source of truth for orders and inventory across Shopify and Amazon
- Eliminated the overselling risk that comes with managing two high-velocity channels without synchronized inventory
- Reduced manual coordination between channels, enabling the operations team to manage growing order volume without a proportional increase in headcount
- Positioned The company to continue scaling both DTC and marketplace channels from a stable, integrated operational foundation
