The challenge
The company, a major online crafts and stamping retailer with a large and loyal customer base, needed to connect Brightpearl — their order management system — to Jasci, a warehouse management system powering their 3PL fulfillment operation. Without integration, order routing, pick-and-pack instructions, and shipment tracking required manual coordination between systems, creating fulfillment bottlenecks during peak demand periods.
What we built
- Built a bidirectional integration between Brightpearl OMS and Jasci WMS for automated order and fulfillment data exchange
- Automated order routing from Brightpearl into Jasci, triggering pick-and-pack workflows in the warehouse management system
- Implemented real-time shipment tracking sync from Jasci back to Brightpearl for accurate fulfillment status updates
- Built inventory level synchronization between Jasci warehouse records and Brightpearl for accurate available-to-sell quantities
- Created exception handling and alerting for orders that stall in transit between systems, ensuring no order is lost in the fulfillment workflow
The outcome
- Achieved fully automated order routing from Brightpearl OMS to Jasci WMS with no manual intervention
- Reduced fulfillment processing time during peak craft season by eliminating manual order handoff between systems
