The challenge

The company needed a purpose-built bulk data importer tool to accelerate customer onboarding onto the Brightpearl platform, enabling large volumes of product catalogs and customer records to be migrated quickly and reliably. Existing manual import processes were error-prone at scale and created significant onboarding friction for enterprise customers. the team required a reusable, configurable utility that their implementation teams could deploy across multiple client migrations.

What we built

• Designed and built a custom bulk data importer tool tailored to Brightpearl's data model and API constraints
• Implemented data transformation pipelines capable of normalizing, validating, and mapping records from disparate source formats into Brightpearl-compatible structures
• Engineered batch processing architecture to handle large product catalogs and customer datasets without API rate-limit violations
• Built error logging and exception reporting to surface data quality issues during import runs for operator review
