The challenge
The company operates multiple specialist running retail locations across the UK alongside a growing Shopify online store, but online and in-store operations ran as separate silos. Orders from Shopify were not automatically flowing into Brightpearl for centralized fulfillment management, inventory visibility was fragmented across locations, and customer records were duplicated or inconsistent. Delivering a unified omnichannel experience required tight integration between their digital and physical retail systems.
What we built
- Connected Shopify to Brightpearl so all online orders are automatically created in Brightpearl for centralized fulfillment management across retail locations
- Implemented real-time inventory synchronization from Brightpearl to Shopify across multiple stock locations so online availability reflects true multi-location inventory
- Built customer record unification so Shopify customer data is synchronized with Brightpearl, creating a single customer profile across online and retail touchpoints
- Configured order status and fulfillment updates flowing from Brightpearl back to Shopify for accurate customer-facing order tracking
- Set up automated product and pricing sync from Brightpearl to Shopify to keep the online catalog consistent with in-store assortment
The outcome
- Unified online and in-store order management within Brightpearl, giving operations staff a single view of all orders regardless of channel
