The challenge
The company sells a range of strength training equipment — barbells, weight plates, racks, and accessories — through DTC channels with fulfillment handled by Infoplus 3PL. As order volume grew, the absence of automation between Brightpearl and Infoplus required manual order dispatch, created pick-and-pack instruction delays, and left the operations team without automatic shipment tracking updates in Brightpearl. The manual workflow was unsustainable at their growth trajectory.
What we built
- Integrated Brightpearl with Infoplus 3PL to automatically route confirmed orders from Brightpearl to Infoplus for fulfillment without manual dispatch steps
- Built pick-and-pack instruction generation within the integration layer to transmit SKU-specific handling requirements for heavy and oversized strength equipment to Infoplus warehouse staff
- Implemented automated shipment tracking ingestion from Infoplus back to Brightpearl, with tracking data posted to order records and customer notification workflows triggered automatically
- Configured inventory level synchronization between Infoplus warehouse stock and Brightpearl so available inventory on sales channels reflected actual 3PL holdings
- Established order status lifecycle tracking across Brightpearl and Infoplus to provide the operations team with real-time fulfillment progress visibility
The outcome
- Manual order dispatch between Brightpearl and Infoplus eliminated, enabling The company to process higher order volumes without additional operations headcount
- Pick-and-pack accuracy for heavy equipment SKUs improved through systematic instruction transmission to Infoplus warehouse staff
- Customer shipment notification timeliness improved with automated tracking sync from Infoplus to Brightpearl upon dispatch
- Operations team gained scalable fulfillment infrastructure capable of supporting continued growth without workflow re-engineering
