The challenge
The The company operated both BigCommerce and WooCommerce storefronts for product sales and membership activity, but neither platform fed automatically into Sage Intacct, leaving finance staff to manually consolidate eCommerce data from two separate systems for financial reporting. The fragmented data landscape created reconciliation complexity and reporting delays for an organization required to maintain rigorous financial accountability. A unified integration feeding both storefronts into the ERP was needed.
What we built
- Built parallel integrations connecting both BigCommerce and WooCommerce storefronts to Sage Intacct through a unified data pipeline
- Implemented order-to-invoice automation for both platforms, creating consistent Intacct sales records regardless of which storefront originated the transaction
- Developed revenue classification logic to distinguish product sales from membership transactions and route each to the correct Intacct fund and GL account
- Engineered unified customer and member record management across both storefronts and Intacct to eliminate duplicate entries
- Configured consolidated reporting data flows to provide the finance team with a single source of truth for all eCommerce activity in Intacct
The outcome
- Both BigCommerce and WooCommerce transaction data flows automatically into Sage Intacct, eliminating dual manual reporting processes
- Revenue from product sales and membership activity is correctly classified and consolidated in Intacct for unified financial reporting
- Finance close timelines were reduced as multi-channel eCommerce data arrives in the ERP without manual aggregation
- The The company operates with a single, accurate financial picture across all digital sales channels
