Connect NetSuite + Magento / Adobe Commerce

Automate storefront order, customer record, item and catalogue attributes, availability / inventory, pricing between NetSuite and Magento / Adobe Commerce — with monitoring and managed support from APIWORX.

    See How It Works

APIWORX connects the systems your business already uses and takes responsibility for the agreed integration workflows after go-live. The exact objects, direction and cadence are fixed in writing during scoping.

    APIWORX Provides the Service

Yes. APIWORX connects NetSuite and Magento / Adobe Commerce.

But connecting the applications is only the beginning. The work that costs you time sits in the process running between them.

APIWORX automates that process end to end — the objects moving between NetSuite and Magento / Adobe Commerce, the ownership rules that decide which system wins, the exceptions when a record will not post, and the monitoring that tells someone before your team finds out from a customer.

    Who this is for

This page is for IT and operations leaders running NetSuite as the ERP with Magento or Adobe Commerce as the storefront.

What needs to be in place

    • NetSuite with integration access and a role permitted to create the records in scope.
    • Magento 2 or Adobe Commerce with API access, and version and hosting identified.
    • Clarity on which system owns items, pricing and inventory.
    • Agreement on which NetSuite record a storefront order should become — that drives everything downstream.

When you may not need this

If your catalogue is small, stock is stable and you have one fulfilment path, a lighter connector may be enough. This is for teams with mapping complexity, multiple locations or subsidiaries, and an ops burden that shows up in exception handling rather than in the happy path.

    What is out of scope

    • We do not build or theme your Magento storefront, nor take over NetSuite customisation ownership.
    • Existing SuiteScript customisations are reviewed in scoping; changing them is a separate agreed piece of work.
    • Adobe Commerce B2B features are scoped explicitly where they affect the workflow.

What actually moves, and who owns it

A representative Magento-to-NetSuite scope. The interface approach and object list are confirmed in scoping.

Three decisions that make or break this integration

Choosing the NetSuite record and interface approach

NetSuite offers several ways in, and several records a web order could become. Whether an order lands as a sales order or a cash sale, and whether the interface uses web services or a script-based endpoint, is decided against your existing NetSuite configuration rather than by default.

    • Record type chosen to fit your existing fulfilment and revenue process.
    • Interface approach confirmed against your NetSuite account and any existing customisations.
    • Subsidiary, location and class mapping agreed where you run multi-subsidiary.
    • Magento order increment ID written to a searchable NetSuite field.

    Item, price and availability ownership

The recurring failure mode is two systems both believing they own an item's price or stock. Ownership is fixed per field in scoping, and the integration enforces it, so a marketing edit cannot quietly override an ERP price.

    • Availability published from NetSuite with location filters and optional buffers.
    • Price levels and customer-specific pricing mapped where they apply to the storefront.
    • Catalogue attributes marketing must control stay editable in Magento deliberately.
    • Unmapped items raise exceptions rather than being created speculatively.

    Fulfilment, refunds and post-order truth

After checkout, the storefront has to keep telling the customer the truth. Fulfilment and tracking flow back from NetSuite or your WMS, and refunds flow forward, so both systems tell the same story to support and to finance.

    • Item fulfilments written back as Magento shipments with carrier and tracking.
    • Partial fulfilment handled explicitly instead of closing an order early.
    • Magento credit memos posted to NetSuite for finance visibility.
    • Cancellations after fulfilment routed to a person, not reversed automatically.

    Reliability and ownership

The operating rules that apply to this workflow after go-live.

    • Every run is logged with the source record reference so an order or document can be traced end to end.
    • Failed messages are retried on a defined schedule; anything that still fails lands in an exception queue rather than being dropped silently.
    • Duplicate prevention keys on the source system's own identifier (order number, PO number, document ID).
    • Exceptions are worked by the APIWORX team and escalated to your named operations contacts when a business decision is needed.
    • Mapping changes — new SKUs, new locations, new partner requirements — are part of the ongoing engagement.
    • Support windows and response commitments live in your agreement; this page does not state an SLA.

    Scope and questions

Which NetSuite interface do you use?
The approach is confirmed against your NetSuite account and existing customisations during scoping. We do not commit to a specific interface on a landing page.
    Can you handle multiple subsidiaries?
Multi-subsidiary setups are scoped explicitly, including which subsidiary a storefront order belongs to and how intercompany cases are treated.
Do you support Adobe Commerce B2B?
In scope subject to confirmation of the features you use — shared catalogues, company accounts and requisition behaviour are reviewed in scoping.
    Who maintains the mapping afterwards?
APIWORX does, as part of the ongoing engagement — new SKUs, new locations and new attributes included. Approval of business rules stays with you.
