EDI compliance, done for you.
A fully managed EDI service that owns trading partner onboarding, document mapping, transmission, and exception handling — connected directly to your ERP. So your team can stop chasing 856s and chargebacks.
Managed EDI without the operational tax
Most EDI platforms hand you tools and walk away. APIXX runs the operation — the certifications, the mappings, the exception triage, the routing-guide updates.
Compliance, owned end-to-end
We onboard trading partners, build mappings, and stay current with every routing-guide change so chargebacks don't catch you off guard.
Live in weeks, not quarters
Most retailers are productionized in 2–6 weeks. Our team handles certification testing with Walmart, Target, Home Depot and more.
Full transaction visibility
Every 850, 855, 856, 810, and 997 is observable in real time — not buried in a black-box VAN portal.
Connected to your ERP & OMS
EDI flows straight into NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Brightpearl, Acumatica, Shopify, and 220+ other systems — no re-keying.
Everything your EDI program needs to run itself
One subscription, one team, one system of record for every transaction across every trading partner.
Trading partner onboarding
We handle the back-and-forth with every retailer: forms, certifications, AS2/SFTP setup, GS1 label testing.
Document mapping & validation
Custom mappings per partner, pre-send validation rules, and exception routing to catch issues before they ship.
Transmission & connectivity
Managed AS2 certificates, SFTP endpoints, VAN routing — all monitored 24/7 with automatic retry and alerting.
Mapping change management
When Walmart updates their 856 spec or Target releases a new routing guide, we update the maps. You don't lift a finger.
Exception monitoring
Failed acknowledgments, late ASNs, schema errors — caught in real time and triaged by our team.
Compliance support desk
Direct line to EDI specialists who know the difference between a Walmart 856 v4010 and a Target ASN at the carton level.

Managed EDI vs. the alternatives
Why mid-market suppliers choose managed EDI over building in-house or buying a self-service platform.
| Dimension | APIXX Managed EDI | Build in-house | Self-service platform |
|---|---|---|---|
| Trading partner onboarding | Done for you | Your team owns it | You configure it |
| Mapping changes when guides update | We handle it | Your team rebuilds maps | You re-test and re-map |
| Exception handling | 24/7 monitored & triaged | Internal on-call rotation | You watch the dashboard |
| ERP / OMS integration | 226+ pre-built connectors | Custom build | Limited connectors |
| Time to first retailer | 2–6 weeks | 3–9 months | 1–3 months |
| Cost profile | Predictable monthly | Headcount + tools | Lower license, higher ops |
Built for teams whose core business isn't EDI
Mid-market suppliers
You sell into Walmart, Target, Home Depot, Lowe's, Costco, Kroger, or Amazon Vendor Central — and chargebacks are eating margin.
Distributors & 3PLs
You run high EDI volume across many partners and need a managed layer that scales without growing internal headcount.
DTC brands going wholesale
You're expanding from Shopify into retail and need EDI infrastructure that doesn't require hiring an in-house EDI team.
Common questions
What's the difference between managed EDI and a self-service EDI platform?
A self-service platform gives you the tools — you still own trading partner onboarding, mapping, certification testing, and ongoing exception management. APIXX Managed EDI takes on all of that operational work. You connect your ERP, and we run the EDI layer end-to-end.
Which retailers and trading partners do you support?
We support 50+ major North American retailers including Walmart, Target, Home Depot, Lowe's, Costco, Kroger, Albertsons, Best Buy, Amazon Vendor Central, and most large distributors and 3PLs. New partners are onboarded as part of your subscription.
How fast can we go live with our first retailer?
Most suppliers are live with their first retailer in 2–6 weeks, depending on the complexity of the trading partner's certification process and your ERP setup. Walmart and Target typically take 4–6 weeks; smaller distributors are often live in 2–3 weeks.
Does APIXX integrate with my ERP?
Yes — APIXX has 226+ pre-built connectors including NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Brightpearl, Acumatica, Microsoft Dynamics, QuickBooks, Shopify, BigCommerce, and most major WMS and 3PL systems. EDI documents flow directly into and out of your system of record without manual intervention.
What happens when a retailer changes their routing guide?
That's our job. Our compliance team monitors retailer change notifications, updates the relevant mappings, runs validation tests, and deploys the changes — usually before the change goes live. You'll get a notification, but no work.
How is pricing structured?
Managed EDI is a predictable monthly subscription based on the number of trading partners and document volume, with a fixed-fee onboarding package. There are no per-transaction VAN fees buried in the contract.
