Automate order release, item and location mapping, shipment confirmation, posted sales shipment, inventory adjustment between Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and ShipHero — with monitoring and managed support from APIWORX.
APIWORX connects the systems your business already uses and takes responsibility for the agreed integration workflows after go-live. The exact objects, direction and cadence are fixed in writing during scoping.
But connecting the applications is only the beginning. The work that costs you time sits in the process running between them.
APIWORX automates that process end to end — the objects moving between Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and ShipHero, the ownership rules that decide which system wins, the exceptions when a record will not post, and the monitoring that tells someone before your team finds out from a customer.
How it works
Provide the systems, workflow and business requirements.
APIWORX recommends the integration architecture, mappings and implementation approach.
APIWORX implements the integration and provides ongoing monitoring and support as applicable.
This page is for operations teams running Business Central as the ERP of record with ShipHero executing warehouse work.
A low-volume single warehouse can be run with manual handoffs. Integration earns its place when order volume, multi-location routing or posting accuracy make manual work a standing cost.
A representative scope. Exact documents and events are confirmed before build.
| Object | From | To | System of record | Trigger | If it fails | Owner |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Order release | Business Central | ShipHero | Business Central | Order reaches the agreed release state | Held in exception queue with the validation error | APIWORX |
| Item and location mapping | Business Central | ShipHero | Business Central | New or changed item or location | Order held until mapping is corrected | APIWORX |
| Shipment confirmation | ShipHero | Business Central | ShipHero | Shipment completed | Retried, then queued for review | APIWORX |
| Posted sales shipment | ShipHero event | Business Central | Business Central | Shipment confirmation received | Queued with the order reference | APIWORX |
| Inventory adjustment | ShipHero | Business Central | Agreed in scoping | Adjustment posted in the warehouse | Difference reported, not overwritten | APIWORX |
Shipment writebacks are keyed on the Business Central document reference, so a replay or duplicate event does not post a second shipment.
Posting groups and dimensions are agreed before build so shipments land where the accounting team expects rather than being corrected each month.
Adding a location is mapping work, so growth in fulfilment footprint does not restart the project.
