The challenge
The company, a UK-based vitamin and supplement brand, wanted to leverage Amazon's Multi-Channel Fulfillment network to fulfill orders placed on their own website and other non-Amazon channels using inventory stored in Amazon's UK warehouses. Without an integration between Amazon MCF and Brightpearl, fulfillment requests had to be manually submitted to Amazon and tracking data manually retrieved and updated in Brightpearl, slowing order processing and limiting the scalability of the MCF channel.
What we built
- Built an integration between Brightpearl and Amazon MCF that automatically submits non-Amazon orders to Amazon's fulfillment network when triggered in Brightpearl
- Configured fulfillment routing logic to identify orders eligible for MCF fulfillment based on SKU availability within Amazon UK warehouses
- Implemented automated tracking number and carrier data retrieval from Amazon MCF and write-back into the corresponding Brightpearl order records
- Set up inventory level visibility from Amazon MCF back into Brightpearl so MCF-held stock is reflected in overall inventory position
- Added fulfillment status monitoring and alerting so any MCF submission failures or delays are surfaced to the operations team promptly
The outcome
- Enabled automated fulfillment of non-Amazon orders through Amazon's UK warehouse network without manual MCF submission
- Tracking data for MCF-fulfilled orders now flows automatically into Brightpearl, keeping customer-facing order status accurate
- Reduced fulfillment lead time for orders routed through Amazon MCF by eliminating manual process steps
- Allowed The company to scale multi-channel sales without adding fulfillment operations overhead
