The challenge
The company sells consumer products in the UK and wanted to leverage Amazon's Multi-Channel Fulfillment network to ship non-Amazon orders from Amazon's UK warehouses — without duplicating fulfillment infrastructure. Their core challenge was routing orders originating outside Amazon into MCF automatically and ensuring that tracking information generated by Amazon's fulfillment network synced back into Brightpearl for complete order visibility. Without this connection, the team had to manually submit MCF fulfillment requests and update tracking details in Brightpearl by hand.
What we built
- Connected Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment to Brightpearl, enabling non-Amazon orders to be automatically submitted to Amazon's UK fulfillment network
- Configured order routing logic within Brightpearl to trigger MCF fulfillment requests based on order status and product eligibility
- Built automated tracking sync so shipment tracking numbers generated by Amazon MCF are written back to the corresponding Brightpearl order records
- Validated UK-specific fulfillment network routing to ensure inventory held in Amazon's UK warehouses is correctly assigned to MCF orders
- Implemented error handling and alerting for MCF submission failures to maintain fulfillment reliability
The outcome
- Enabled non-Amazon order fulfillment through Amazon's UK warehouse network with zero manual submission effort
- Achieved automatic tracking sync from Amazon MCF back to Brightpearl, giving the operations team full shipment visibility in one system
- Reduced the operational overhead of managing a second fulfillment channel by automating the entire submission and tracking workflow
- Gave The company the infrastructure to scale sales volume across multiple channels without proportionally scaling fulfillment operations
