Acumatica ERPExtensiv 3PL
The challenge
The company, an apparel brand and distributor, manages order creation and inventory in Acumatica ERP while relying on Extensiv 3PL Warehouse Manager for physical fulfillment operations. Without integration between these systems, orders created in Acumatica required manual re-entry into Extensiv for fulfillment, and shipment data from Extensiv did not automatically update Acumatica order records. This two-platform gap created both operational inefficiency and data integrity risk across the fulfillment cycle.
What we built
- Built an Acumatica-to-Extensiv 3PL integration that automatically dispatches new orders from Acumatica to Extensiv for fulfillment upon order confirmation
- Implemented product and customer data synchronization between Acumatica and Extensiv to maintain consistent master data across ERP and 3PL systems
- Configured shipment confirmation and tracking data flows from Extensiv back into Acumatica, automatically updating order records upon 3PL fulfillment completion
- Established inventory level synchronization between Extensiv warehouse holdings and Acumatica inventory records to maintain accurate on-hand quantities in the ERP
- Built order status lifecycle mapping between Acumatica and Extensiv statuses so the operations team maintained a clear, consistent view of fulfillment progress in both systems
The outcome
- Manual order re-entry between Acumatica and Extensiv eliminated, reducing data entry burden and associated error risk
- Fulfillment cycle visibility in Acumatica improved as shipment data from Extensiv posted automatically upon warehouse dispatch
- Inventory accuracy in Acumatica aligned with actual Extensiv warehouse stock, improving ERP-based reporting and replenishment planning
- Operations team able to scale order volume processed through Extensiv without increasing manual data handling between systems
