The challenge
The company sells B2B display and visual merchandising products to enterprise buyers who procure through corporate purchasing platforms rather than direct checkout. Their enterprise clients operate on either SAP Ariba or Coupa, and without native integrations to those procurement networks, sales teams had to manage purchase orders manually and reconcile transactions between their BigCommerce storefront and Brightpearl OMS by hand. They needed a unified procurement connectivity layer that allowed buyers to transact through whichever platform their organization required.
What we built
- Integrated SAP Ariba with BigCommerce and Brightpearl, enabling enterprise Ariba buyers to submit purchase orders that flow automatically into the order management workflow
- Built a parallel Coupa integration connecting the procurement platform to BigCommerce and Brightpearl for clients on the Coupa network
- Configured PunchOut catalog connectivity so enterprise buyers can browse and build carts within their internal procurement portal before submitting orders
- Automated purchase order receipt, acknowledgment, and status updates across both procurement integrations and back to Brightpearl
- Enabled seamless multi-platform operation so BigCommerce continues serving direct buyers while Ariba and Coupa serve enterprise procurement channels simultaneously
