The challenge

The company, a leading UK online vaping retailer, relied on Inventory Planner for demand forecasting and replenishment recommendations but operated their warehouse through PeopleVox WMS. Without a direct integration, purchasing decisions generated in Inventory Planner had to be manually re-entered into PeopleVox, delaying warehouse receiving workflows and creating discrepancies between planned and executed replenishment.

What we built

• Integrated Inventory Planner with PeopleVox WMS to automatically translate approved purchase orders into warehouse receiving workflows
• Mapped Inventory Planner replenishment recommendations to PeopleVox inbound shipment records with SKU-level detail
• Configured bi-directional inventory level sync so PeopleVox stock positions informed Inventory Planner forecasting accuracy
• Automated purchase order status updates from PeopleVox back to Inventory Planner upon goods receipt
• Aligned integration cadence with the retailer's buying cycle to ensure warehouse workflows were ready ahead of incoming stock

The outcome

• Purchasing decisions from Inventory Planner automatically triggered receiving workflows in PeopleVox, eliminating manual re-entry
• Warehouse team had advance visibility into inbound shipments, improving receiving efficiency and labor planning
