The challenge
The company, the North American arm of sustainable kitchen products brand EKO, manages orders through Brightpearl but fulfills through a third-party logistics partner operating on Infoplus WMS. Without a direct integration, the team manually transmitted orders to their 3PL and entered shipment confirmations back into Brightpearl, creating a slow and error-prone fulfillment loop. As North American sales volumes grew, the manual handoff between Brightpearl and Infoplus became a barrier to delivering the fast, reliable fulfillment expected by both retail and direct-to-consumer buyers.
What we built
- Integrated Brightpearl with Infoplus to automatically route qualifying orders to the 3PL warehouse system as soon as they are ready for fulfillment in Brightpearl
- Built data transformation logic to map Brightpearl order and product data to Infoplus warehouse format, supporting The company's product catalog including bundled and multi-SKU orders
- Configured automated shipment confirmation and tracking data retrieval from Infoplus and write-back into Brightpearl upon 3PL dispatch
- Implemented inventory synchronization from Infoplus back to Brightpearl so available stock at the 3PL is reflected in Brightpearl's inventory for accurate order promising
- Established monitoring and alerting workflows for integration failures so the operations team can quickly identify and resolve any order transmission or confirmation issues
The outcome
- Fully automated the order fulfillment handoff between Brightpearl and the Infoplus 3PL, removing manual coordination from the process
- Shipment confirmations and tracking numbers now update Brightpearl automatically, enabling timely customer notifications and accurate order records
- Inventory data from the 3PL warehouse is synchronized to Brightpearl in real time, improving stock visibility and demand planning accuracy
- Enabled The company to scale North American order volumes through the 3PL without adding operational overhead to the fulfillment workflow
