The challenge
The company, a Sage Intacct consulting and reseller firm, needed to deliver a Shopify-to-Sage Intacct integration for one of their end clients, connecting eCommerce sales activity to the ERP for automated financial processing. Their client's finance team was manually exporting Shopify order data and entering it into Intacct, a process that introduced reconciliation delays and limited the scalability of their financial operations. the team required a reliable connector they could deploy and support as part of their client engagement.
What we built
- Configured and deployed a Shopify-to-Sage Intacct connector as part of The company's client implementation engagement
- Implemented order-to-invoice automation that creates Intacct sales records from Shopify orders including product, quantity, and customer details
- Built customer record synchronization between Shopify and Intacct to maintain consistent master data across systems
- Engineered payment and settlement reconciliation flows to align Shopify payment data with Intacct AR records
- Developed product and revenue mapping logic to ensure Shopify line items post to the correct GL accounts and revenue categories in Intacct
The outcome
- The client's Shopify sales data flows automatically into Sage Intacct, eliminating manual export and entry workflows
- Financial close preparation time was reduced as eCommerce revenue data arrives in the ERP without delay
- The company successfully delivered the integration as part of their Intacct implementation, strengthening their client outcome
