Automate shipment request, service and account mapping, label and tracking number, freight charge, dimension coding between Sage Intacct and DHL — with monitoring and managed support from APIWORX.
APIWORX connects the systems your business already uses and takes responsibility for the agreed integration workflows after go-live. The exact objects, direction and cadence are fixed in writing during scoping.
But connecting the applications is only the beginning. The work that costs you time sits in the process running between them.
APIWORX automates that process end to end — the objects moving between Sage Intacct and DHL, the ownership rules that decide which system wins, the exceptions when a record will not post, and the monitoring that tells someone before your team finds out from a customer.

This page is for finance and operations teams running Sage Intacct as the financial system of record while shipping internationally with DHL.
Low international volume can be handled inside the DHL portal with manual entry into Intacct. Managed integration earns its place when shipment volume, dimension-aware freight posting or reconciliation between carrier charges and the ledger becomes a standing cost.
A representative scope. Exact records, DHL service and charge treatment are confirmed before build.
| Object | From | To | System of record | Trigger | If it fails | Owner |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Shipment request | Sage Intacct or the order system | DHL | Agreed in scoping | Order reaches the agreed ready-to-ship state | Held in exception queue with the validation error | APIWORX |
| Service and account mapping | Agreed rule set | DHL | Rule set agreed in scoping | At shipment creation | Shipment held for an operations decision | APIWORX |
| Label and tracking number | DHL | Sage Intacct or the order system | DHL | Shipment confirmed | Retried, then queued for review | APIWORX |
| Freight charge | DHL | Sage Intacct | DHL | Charge published on your account | Queued with the shipment reference; nothing posted on a guess | APIWORX |
| Dimension coding | Agreed mapping | Sage Intacct | Finance mapping | At posting | Unmapped dimensions reported before posting | APIWORX |
| Delivery status | DHL | Order system | DHL | Status change | Last known status retained; gap reported | APIWORX |
Carrier charges arrive after the shipment, often adjusted. Charges are matched to the original shipment reference and posted with the dimensions your finance team agreed, so reconciliation is a review rather than a rebuild.
Express, eCommerce and Supply Chain behave differently. Which service applies per lane, and therefore which interface is used, is decided once in scoping and applied consistently.
International shipments fail on missing commodity detail more often than anything else. Required fields are validated before the request reaches DHL, so the gap is reported as a data task.
