Operating Amazon and Brightpearl as disconnected systems meant orders placed on Amazon required manual entry into Brightpearl, inventory levels between the two platforms drifted apart over time, and fulfillment status updates from Amazon did not automatically update internal records. This manual overhead scaled poorly as Amazon order volume grew.
