The company has built a substantial Amazon selling operation with a product catalog that includes complex product structures, bundles, and variation hierarchies that require nuanced handling at the integration layer. As their Amazon business scaled, the standard Amazon-Brightpearl connector lacked the configurability to handle their specific bundle decomposition logic, catalog mapping requirements, and marketplace order processing edge cases — resulting in mismatched records and fulfillment exceptions that required manual correction.

What we built

- Engineered custom enhancements to the Amazon-Brightpearl Enhanced Connector to support The company's product bundle structures, ensuring bundles are correctly decomposed into component SKUs within Brightpearl upon order receipt
- Built catalog mapping logic that accurately translates Amazon ASINs and variation attributes to the corresponding Brightpearl product and variant records
- Customized marketplace order processing rules to handle edge cases specific to The company's fulfillment model and operational requirements
- Implemented enhanced error handling and exception logging so operational staff can quickly identify and resolve any order sync anomalies
- Validated the enhanced connector against live order volume to ensure stability and accuracy at scale

The outcome

- Resolved persistent bundle handling errors that previously required manual correction after each sync cycle
- Achieved accurate catalog and order mapping between Amazon and Brightpearl across the full product range, including complex variation structures
- Enabled The company to scale Amazon order volume without introducing proportional increases in operational exception handling
- Delivered a customized integration layer that reflects the specific operational realities of their Amazon business rather than forcing workflow compromises
